The Business Challenge
During 2006 the company acquired new offices that were in need of renovation. Jobling Gowler took this opportunity to review their IT requirements.
The business challenge was to keep their business operating whilst refurbishing the new offices and installing the infrastructure required for a new IT system. This in effect meant two disruptions of a working office and having to cope with external contractors.
After reviewing a number of companies that offered similar solutions, Cara was selected because of their professional and courteous handling of repairs on previous occasions.
Cara provided an appropriate IT solution comprising a server, a number of workstations and network hardware. They also managed the relationship with the third party providers of solicitor specific business software.
However, the real benefit to Jobling Gowler was the un-intrusive way Cara coped with installing the IT system into what was in effect a building site. Often having to scale ladders to the second floor and working around the builder’s timescales and working practices. Jobling Gowler now has offices and an IT system that provides the basis for the future success of the business.
The IT system now provides the partners and staff with a modern business tool that supports the business from wherever the work needs to be done.
Dictation and emails are the lifeblood of this solicitor’s business, and Cara have also acted as a technical liaison with other software suppliers to eradicate some initial digital voice and email problems.

Jobling Gowler feel that they now have their own IT department that they know and trust, even though it’s outsourced.
The liaison with 3rd party software providers speeds up the resolution of problems, as Cara interpret the issues into IT specific technical information required to action the fault.
